Ian Deters

Ian Deters is a mathematician, data scientist, and teacher.

His proclivity and ability lies in the application of mathematics, statistics, and computer science to the solution of various business problems. In particular, he has chosen to focus on the insurance industry. He currently works as the lead data scientist at MedPro Group. Previously, he worked in the research and development department of Farmers Insurance Group where he researched and built generalized linear and neural network models to address operational challenges and aid in the setting of rate relativities. He has also obtained the ACAS designation from the CAS.

Recently, his research has focused on creating a mathematical framework which will help to unify the techniques found in the data science field.
