Gunnar Kleemann is the CEO and Principal Data Scientist at Austin Capital Data where he leads a team of data scientists and visionaries in their mission to make deep and nuanced technical data more understandable and accessible. To this end he leads efforts to apply machine learning and graph analytics to domains including bioinformatics, medicine and education. Gunnar Kleemann holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Master’s in Data Science (MIDS) from UC Berkeley. He did post-doctoral research on the genomics of aging at Princeton University, where he focused developing high throughput robotic assays to understand how genetic changes alter lifespan and reproductive biology. In addition to running Austin Capital Data he is an instructor with UC Berkeley’s MIDS (Masters in Data Science) program.
