Christopher Kurz

Christopher Kurz is a leading principal investigator of the World Around You: International Collaborative Multilingual Sign Language Books project using the World Around You (WAY) crowdsourcing platform. He is a Professor for the Masters of Science in Secondary Education program and director of the Mathematics and Science Language and Learning Lab at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester Institute of Technology. His research interests include content language and literacy in mathematics and science, Deaf experience with math and science learning, and international deaf literacy and sign language documentation. He earned a PhD in Foundations of Education from University of Kansas and a BS in Applied Mathematics from RIT.
