Session: Welcome Social Spotlight – MARS & Networking
Immediately following the Inclusion & Diversity Program on Sunday, October 17 we’ll “officially” kick things off with the 2021 Welcome Social.
The Welcome Social, made possible by the world-class team at SUSE, will once again be an opportunity for everyone registered for the conference to network, relax and prepare for the two conference days ahead.
A few highlights:
- The event will be hosted outdoors on the north Convention Center plaza by the Sir Raleigh statue. Fresh air is a good thing, and attendees will get plenty of it.
- Drinks and light food will be served.
- Featured programming will begin at 7pm and will include a sit-down conversation between Steven Vaughan-Nichols, Contributing Editor at ZDNet and former NASA contractor, and Adam Steltzner, Leader & Chief Engineer, MARS 2020 Mission, Rover Perseverance. *note, this event will take place indoors in a large area and will be socially distanced to maximize safety.
