Session: The Frictionless Development Experience

As developers, we are in a state of continuous feedback and the quicker we can get from A to B becomes a strong measure of our ability to perform. Over time the frictions in the development cycle have decreased, but I think we can do even better today. In this talk, I will show you how our team at hyper establishes a frictionless developer experience using tools, technology and process. Our flow may not be for you, but by sharing the flow and the objectives this flow accomplishes may give you a perspective of how you might set your feedback loop up for high performing success.

When looking at frictionless development it is more than just how fast things go from change to screen, we look at it as several measures: Developer Feedback Loop, Onboarding, Commit to Deploy, Mean Time To Recover, access to signal. In this talk, I will explain each one of these measures and the tools and practices we use to keep these measures frictionless.
