Session: Open Source Community Engagement Best Practices and Health Checks

Building a community around your projects require more than just throwing code up on GitHub and have a distribution list.

Within this session we’ll go over experiences with community management for several OSS projects at VMware and CNCF, and dive into what worked and what didn’t.

We will walk through our community engagement checklist we use when starting a new open source project to make sure things are in place and everyone is aware of responsibilities. Lastly, we will cover our community engagement health checks, showing how we measure engagement with our open source communities.
