Session: GitOps 101
Have you ever wondered how you can take your git knowledge to the next level? In this talk and demonstration we will look at how companies are leveraging GitOps to drive developer self service, compliance as code and transparency from issue to production. We will look specifically at leveraging GitOps to drive continuous delivery best practices around naming conventions, automation, and release orchestration. We will discuss the benefits of a GitOps workflow from provisioning VMs for vSphere to managing CRDs for Kubernetes as well as change management for other middleware components. We will wrap up this session by building out some value stream metrics for teams to measure how effective they are at moving application changes from development to production environments using GitOps auditing capabilities.
