Session: Cancer Graph – Helping everyone understand cancer better with open source tools

Data originating from deep-tech domains such as biotechnology and medicine present a significant barrier to entry. At the same time, these data are becoming more relevant. Medical data are available in the form of publicly funded data repositories such as PubMed and NCBI and cancer research is an example of a deep-tech treasure that can be accessed with the right tools. In this talk, I will demonstrate how Cancer Graph can be used to pull and organize cancer publication data for easier comprehension. Cancer Graph uses the biopython API, TypeDB, as well as Plotly to make cancer data more accessible to everyone.
